Cora Vizcarra, RN, BSN, CRNI, MBA, elected as
President-Elect of the Infusion Nurses Society (INS)
for 2007-2008. She is the first Asian-American to
serve as president for the INS, a nursing specialty
organization recognized as a global authority in
infusion therapy, with members from the USA,
Canada, UK, China, Japan, Philippines, India, etc.
She was PNA-IN’s advisor and chief editor, Indiana’s Point of View
from 2001-2004. She was co-chair of the education and constitution
and by-laws committees and instrumental in formulating PNA-IN’s
Operational Guidelines and Procedures manual. She is president and
owner of MCV & Associates Healthcare and donated PNA-IN’s
website (www.pnaindiana.org) in January 2006. Cora graduated from
St. Paul University, Manila and travels around the country to speak and
give lectures about infusion therapy.

Elena De Jesus, RN, BSN, for her PNA-IN Nursing
Leadership Award during the 8th PNAA North Cen-
tral Regional Conference hosted by PNA Michigan
on April 27-29, 2007 held in Detroit, Michigan. She
has been PNA-IN’s Board Member since 2004,
written news articles for PNA-IN, has attended most
of PNAA’s regional conferences and conventions,
helped raise funds through book sales, empowers members to be
active with PNA-IN/PNAA sanctioned functions, very involved with
Philippine medical missions and has been PNA-IN’s representative
to PNAA leadership workshops twice. She has composed lyrics and
submitted it for the PNAA Theme Music Campaign, winner will be
announced at the PNAA general assembly meeting in July in
Anaheim, Ca. Lena became the Director of Nursing for Heartland
Memorial Hospital in October 2006, the hospital recently reorganized
and changed name to Physicians Regional Hospital. She’s married
to Tito, also a nurse and PNA-IN member, together they have 2
beautiful children, Melissa and Roderick.
Emma Tolentino, RN, BSN, for her PNA-IN Nursing
Leadership Award during the 8th PNAA North Central
Regional Conference hosted by PNA Michigan on
April 27-29, 2007 held in Detroit, Michigan. As
founding president, she’s PNA-IN’s 1st leader and
the current president when PNA-IN co-hosted the
21st PNAA National Convention in June 2000 in
Indianapolis. Presently, she’s the Executive Director, Hospital Liaison
Officer and very active with volunteer work, also in recruiting nurses to
become PNA-IN members. When she’s off duty from St. Francis
Hospital where she works in Endoscopy, she juggles her roles as vice-
president of Sampaguita Enterprises, LLC, a quality care home for
the elderly based in North Las Vegas, NV; a partner of Eduardo’s
Restaurant; and helps her husband, Roger, manage their family-
owned business, REPTO Inc. She and Roger have a son PJ who
works and lives in Chicago, Illinois.
