The annual PNA-IN Christmas gathering for members and their families
was held at the Oriental Buffet & Grill on December 1, 2006. It was a
resounding success. All the children had fun with the gifts distributed
by Santa Claus and PNA-IN members exchanged gifts.
Everyone had a hearty meal of, among other things, crab legs, lomein
noodles, shrimps, egg rolls, chicken on-a-stick, fried plantain bananas,
sushi, etc. The crab legs tasted much better dipped in the garlic
vinegar sauce provided by Rene Jimenez. This was a fun gathering for
the Filipino nurses and their families. We had a record number of
attendees; the private room reserved for this event was bursting at the
seams. We had to add 4 more tables outside to accommodate
everyone.
What a nice kickoff indeed to ring in the holidays and get into the spirit
of joy and giving. The PNA-IN is grateful to the parents for donating the
presents distributed to the children at the party, as well as the other
donors: Josie Jimenez, Liz Jackson, Mela Miroff, Nitz Delacruz &
Quality Interiors, other officers/members and Redd Knotts for the
children's advent chocolate calendars.
